I began collecting antiques with my husband 7 years ago and I have been doing it ever since. I enjoy bringing old pieces back to life. My house is filled with things I've found and fixed up. My husband collected marbles since he was a little boy and he loved to buy/sell/ trade them. Many of these vintage and antique were found in garage sales or estate sales. The LIFE magazines I bought en masse from one lady who was moving and could not afford to ship them all.

Reading LIFE Magazines from 50 or 60 years ago truly gives you a glimpse of what life was like back then (the good and the bad). It is like entering a time machine; with each page a new destination. With weekly publications, there are plenty to pick from. There is a good chance LIFE published a magazine on a loved one’s birthday (or at least the same week). It is very cool to see what the world was like when your parent or grandparent was born. It is truly incredible.
